August 28, 2017–More than a year after obtaining a mistrial with a jury deadlocked 9 to 3 in favor of acquittal on numerous serious child sexual assault charges, Mark Foster was able to resolve his client’s case for a no contest plea to a single count of taking indecent liberties with a child. Foster negotiated a sentence involving no incarceration time and his client is out of custody on probation. Numerous serious charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement. If the client would have been convicted of any of the serious charges at trial, he would have spent the rest of his life in prison. Thus, the client is very grateful.
